And then, as I walked across the street, I see Clyde is outside too. He's not clinging to Pascal anymore. And when I look back at him, he suddenly turns his head and becomes very interested in the No Parking signs. As I unlocked my bike, I began to feel a twinge. Aware of the strong reaction I'd been having to him, the hormonal, presential draw, the startling effect he has on me, I thought, "He's over there, he's alone. I should go over there now and talk to him for real, break this awkward phase once and for all." But I biked away.
